2022 Scope of Work
This Scope of Work memorializes the Agreement between the City of Renton, Neighborhood
Program and the Aspen woods NW HOA, Including that, by this Agreement, the Aspenwoods
NW HOA indemnifies the City for any claims that may arise from the event, other than those
that are the result solely of the City's negligent acts or omissions.
PURPOSE:
The City has developed a Neighborhood Program to serve as a platform for building the
organizational capacity of neighborhoods by providing resources and opportunities to assist in
creating vibrant, healthy, and connected communities. As part of its Neighborhood Program,
the City recognizes and supports neighborhoods by providing grant matching opportunities to
make neighborhood improvements as a means of bringing neighbors together and enhancing
each neighborhood's sense of community.
Projects eligible for the grant matching program include, but are not limited to, neighborhood
park improvements or additions, clean�up and landscaping projects, neighborhood events and
entertainment, confere nce and training registrations. Typically, approved projects will not
require ongoing City funding and should be completed within six months.

EVENT:
•Eat Then Treat Halloween Event -To encourage families get together and trick or treat
with safely in a group throughout their neighborhood.

•Neighborhood Clean-up Event -Promoting ownership and a dean, safe, area for their
famil ies. This annual event kicks off their Neighborhood gatherings for the year.
BUDGET::
•Grant Request: $1,695.14 total
o Neighborhood Clean-up -$736.46
•Food and snacks for volunteers -$408.18
•Ice -$18.47
•Waste Disposal -$28
•Marketing (flyers and signs) -$281.81
o Eat then Treat -$958.68
•Flyers -$18.67
•Food for event -$940.01
•Approved grant fund will be reimbursed upon receipt of detailed invoice from
Aspenwoods NW HOA, in a form acceptable to the City
•The Aspenwoods NW HOA match for expenses Incurred by the Neighborhood Program
will be documented and reimbursed to the City by Aspenwoods NW HOA in volunteer
hours, calculated according the 2021 Independent Sector Washington State volunteer
wage of $34.87 per hour; the City will Invoice Aspenwoods NW HOA within five (S)
business days of the event.
City Tasks to be reimbursed by Aspenwoods NW HOA volunteer hours:
•All volunteer hours will be put towards matching the grant fund reimbursement.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Agreement as of the date
last listed bet ow.
