• WHEREAS', from time'to time, uniformed personnel have, and will in the

i;,'1»f . future, withdraw as members of Statewide City Employees Retirement System, due
to termination of their employment by a member municipality reasons other
ti
than their, death or retirement, and
WHEREAS, the provisions of R.C.W. 41.44.190 provide that should the
.
service of a member of the uniformed personnel be discontinued, except for death . /
or retirement, he shall be paid seventy-five per cent of his accumulated contri- '
butions, and that the remaining twenty-five per cent of such contributions shall '
be retained by the Board for the benefit of the system, and , � '
• ' WHEREAS, it was the desire of the uniformed personnel that such re-
tained percentage of their contributions be used to reimburse in some manner the
member municipality for expenses incurred in training its police officers, and
' WHEREAS, it appears to the Board that the crediting of such retained
percentage of the contributions made by uniformed personnel to the Released . '

Matching Funds of the member municipality formerly employing such withdrawing
member of the uniformed personnel, is for the benefit of the system and its.
relationship with the various municipalities who are now, or who may become,
members of the system: , .
NOW, THEREFORE, . •
,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ' ' " .
' That all of the retained percentage of all contributions heretofore
or"hereafter made by any member of the uniformed personnel, retained upon the' '
withdrawal of any such member of the uniformed personnel, pursuant to R.C.W. -
. ' 41.44.190, be credited to the Released Matching Funds of the member municipality - •
formerly employing such withdrawing member of the uniformed personnel. '
