The property is zoned for Residential Multi-Family development, so as long as the proposal complies with the City’s adopted zoning regulations we cannot deny the requested proposal. The plot of land where the townhomes are planned to be built are home to three large trees and extensive blackberry plants. At a time when many species of birds and other animals are facing habitat loss, and the effects of climate change worse due to non-stop development, there is a community opportunity here to preserve a plot of land that could be serve the community in s different way, perhaps a community garden, instead of developing more townhomes.
