Estimated costs are as follows: 1. Roadway improvement - $7.50 per front foot. ($2.00 per front foot for curb and gutter; $3.00 per front foot for sidewalks*; $2.50 per front foot for storm drainage.) *If, during construction, it is ,.idetermined that your sidewalk need not be replaced, no assessment will be made. 2. Undergrounding - $5.96 per front foot (to include power and telephone) 3. Alley improvement - $2.50 per front foot. These above costs will only be assessed against those properties directly benefited. (Please see attached sheet for your assessment) . Please plan to attend and urge your neighbors to do the same. Estimated costs are-asµfollows: 1. Roadway improvement - $7.50 per front foot. This letter is in protest against the proposed Renton Hill Local Improvement District. It is a very strong protest for ' we live on the very boundary of said district and we are thoroughly opposed to paying $225.00 for "street .improvements" which in our case would be fixing our few yards of :alley which we never use , because we do not have entrance to our lot from the alley. That is, we don 't have a car entrance from the alley, According to Exhibit B, the only improvement for Mill Ave. So residents is a "new asphalt alley" between Cedar and Mill , from 4th to 6th Streets. With that _ exception, ALL IMPROVEMENTS such as new asphalt paving, new curbs and _ gutters , new sidewalks , storm drain pipes, sanitary sewer pipes and underground power ARE FOR CEDAR AVENUE and 4th, 5th and 6th Streets. . SO LET THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE REALLY BENEFITING PAY FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS! , ,,It\j . '‘ . e.,A1.. In Our opinion, fixing our few yards of alley does not improve . our property, As a matter of fact, we are trying to sell our house and have not had any luck because the FHA considers the noise factor y from the expressway directly below us .sufficient to deny sponsorship of loans to the buyers we had. That means that all the home owners ti4�� on Mill Ave. So. who front the expressway have the same problem when- Ve ti ever they get ready to sell . Any good business person can see that \AQ paying $225.:00 for new asphalt in the alley is throwing away money in our situ-ation. Regardless, the real crux of the matter is that we are not benefiting; let those who live on Cedar and the other streets pay. • I 'd give a pretty penny to know who it is that lives on Cedar Street who is so influential as to get something like this improvement district proposed. • As far as we are concerned , gentlemen, the alley between Cedar \. and Mill Ave. So. does NOT need asphalt; LEAVE MILL AVE.
