This letter is to submit to the City of Renton, the proposed plan to in order to address the Limelite Administrative Short Plat
Report and decision (LUA14-001083), condition 8 which statements:
8. The applicant must provide sufficient information to show how the students that walk to school would have a safe
walking route if bussing is not provided. If a safe route to school is not identified, then the applicant will be required to
provide a safe walking path, which may entire some off-site improvements.
Any such decisions regarding the walking path for Limelite short plat are effective to the current owner or any such individuals
whom purchase Limelite short plat.
Cascade Elementary School – Walking path
The distance from Limelite short plat is .1 miles away. There is no bussing available. We propose the following to establish safe
walking distance to Cascade elementary school.
- Install a 4ft wide gravel path from the edge of the property line of the Limelite Short plat along the south side of SE
162ND Street to the corner of SE 162nd Street and 116th Ave SE. Approximate distance is 500ft. See Exhibit A.
- Install a cross walk from the South west corner of SE 162nd Street and 116th Ave SE to the North West Corner of SE 162nd
Street and 116th Ave SE. See Exhibit B.

Nelson Middle School – Walking path:
The distance from Limelite short plat is .6 miles away. There is no bussing available. We propose that there is an existing
walking path to the Nelson Middle school and therefore minor additional off-site improvements are proposed.
- Install cross walk from the South East corner of SE 162nd St and 114th Ave SE to South West corner of SE 162nd St and
114th Ave SE. See Exhibit C below.
- There is an existing sidewalk on the west side of 114th Ave SE from SE 162nd street to SE 164th Street. That students may
use to walk to Nelson Middle school. See Exhibit C below.
- There is an existing cross walk from the North West corner of 114th Ave SE, crossing SE 164th Street. See Exhibit C
below.

- There is a sufficiently wide shoulder on the south side of SE 164th Street. See exhibits below:

Please let us know the decision on this walkway at your earliest convenience. Please verify all lengths and distances to your
satisfaction using google earth or any other means. Again, as stated earlier in this proposal, all decisions regarding the walking
paths to both Cascade elementary and Nelson Middle School are effective for the current owner or any such individual whom
may purchase Limelite short plat.
