Dear Mr. Karam,
As requested, we have reviewed the geotechnical engineering aspects of the civil plans
for the above-referenced project. Our review includes Civil Plan Sheets C1 through C16
dated December 8, 2015 and last revised on August 15, 2016 by Coterra Engineering
LLC, and Sheet 1 through 4 for the sewer main extension dated May 31, 2016 by by
Coterra Engineering LLC. In general, it is our opinion that the plans reviewed had
incorporated all substantial geotechnical recommendations presented in our geotechnical
report dated June 24, 2014.
A qualified geotechnical engineer should be retained to provide geotechnical construction
observation services during construction of the earthwork and foundation phases of the
work. This is to observe compliance with the design concepts, specifications or
recommendations and to facilitate recommendations for design changes in the event that
subsurface conditions differ from that anticipated at the time of our field exploration and
report preparation.
