THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was onsite at 1:30pm at the request of the general contractor to observe sidewalk
subgrade conditions along Duvall Avenue NE at the Renton School District No. 403 development.
Sidewalk Subgrade Conditions
AESI arrived onsite and observed contractor had completed grading along the eastern margin of the Renton School
District No. 403 development at the intersection of Duvall Avenue NE and NE 12th St. AESI observed contractor had
completed placing 4 to 6-inches of 5/8-inch crushed rock along native subgrade and compacting with a vibratory plate
compactor prior to our arrival. AESI used a ½-inch steel T-probe to probe locations along the sidewalk subgrade and
observed native subgrade conditions were firm and unyielding, and T-probe penetration was on the order of 1 to 3-
inches and suitable for support of the proposed sidewalk.
AESI departed the site at 2:00pm and will return for further observations and testing as requested by the client.
