THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was onsite at 1:30pm at the request of the general contractor to observe native
soil conditions and placement of sidewalk subgrade along Duvall Avenue NE.
Sidewalk Subgrade Conditions
AESI arrived onsite and observed contractor grading approximately 600-feet of sidewalk subgrade along Duvall Avenue
NE . AESI observed contractor had completed placing 4 to 6-inches of 5/8-inch crushed rock along native subgrade and
compacting with a vibratory plate compactor. AESI used a ½-inch steel T-probe to probe locations along the sidewalk
subgrade and observed native subgrade conditions were medium-dense, firm, unyielding, and suitable for support of the
proposed sidewalk in our opinion.
AESI departed the site at 2:00pm and will return for further observations and testing as requested by the client.
