CONSTRUCTION MITIGATION DESCRIPTION
· Proposed Construction Dates: Summer 2023 – Fall 2023
· Hours and days of operation: The proposed construction work hours will conform to the City of
Renton’s Development Regulations (Title IV – Chapter 4 – 4-4-030.C.3.b). Construction activities will
be between 7:00 and 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. Work on Saturdays will be restricted to
between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. No work will be permitted on Sundays. No special hours are
proposed at this time. If needed, the contractor will apply for approval through the Development
Services Division.
· Measures to be implemented to minimize dust, traffic and transportation impacts, erosion, mud, noise,
and other noxious characteristics. The new portables and footings will be set on top of the existing
asphalt which will remain. Very limited site disturbance is anticipated to install underground utilities
to the new portables. The construction drawings and specifications will include a temporary erosion
control plan. This plan will provide requirements the selected contractor will be required to follow.
o The plan will provide provisions for catch basin protection within the affected area. This
will typically be addressed by installing filter fabric under the grates of existing stormwater
catch basins to minimize the transport of any sediment laden construction runoff.
o Noise impacts will be limited by construction plan requirements to meet the City of
Renton Maximum Noise Levels (4-4-060.5).
· Proposed hauling/transportation routes: Hauling will be restricted to the hours between 8:30 am and
3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The contractor installing the portables, will obtain any required
R.O.W. permits for the transport of the portables during deliver on the public streets.
· The are no anticipated construction related activities that will impact the public right of way, as all of
the proposed work will be occurring on Renton School District property.
