HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM_Construction Mitigation Description_230329_v1.pdf 1 TO Calvin Gassaway - Greene Gasaway Architects FROM PROJECT Alan Jacobson – Jacobson Consulting Engineers Hazen High School – 2023 New Portables DATE March 21, 2023 CONSTRUCTION MITIGATION DESCRIPTION · Proposed Construction Dates: Summer 2023 – Fall 2023 · Hours and days of operation: The proposed construction work hours will conform to the City of Renton’s Development Regulations (Title IV – Chapter 4 – 4-4-030.C.3.b). Construction activities will be between 7:00 and 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. Work on Saturdays will be restricted to between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. No work will be permitted on Sundays. No special hours are proposed at this time. If needed, the contractor will apply for approval through the Development Services Division. · Measures to be implemented to minimize dust, traffic and transportation impacts, erosion, mud, noise, and other noxious characteristics. The new portables and footings will be set on top of the existing asphalt which will remain. Very limited site disturbance is anticipated to install underground utilities to the new portables. The construction drawings and specifications will include a temporary erosion control plan. This plan will provide requirements the selected contractor will be required to follow. o The plan will provide provisions for catch basin protection within the affected area. This will typically be addressed by installing filter fabric under the grates of existing stormwater catch basins to minimize the transport of any sediment laden construction runoff. o Noise impacts will be limited by construction plan requirements to meet the City of Renton Maximum Noise Levels (4-4-060.5). · Proposed hauling/transportation routes: Hauling will be restricted to the hours between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The contractor installing the portables, will obtain any required R.O.W. permits for the transport of the portables during deliver on the public streets. · The are no anticipated construction related activities that will impact the public right of way, as all of the proposed work will be occurring on Renton School District property.
