4. A FINAL TREE RETENTION PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED
AT TIME OF UTILITY CONSTRUCTION PERMIT REVIEW.
THE FINAL TREE RETENTION PLAN SHALL INCLUDEMINIMUM 2-INCH CALIPER REPLACEMENT TREES WITHIN
THE ONSITE 10-FOOT LANDSCAPE STRIP. THE FINAL
TREE RETENTION PLAN SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
1. PLASTIC SHEETING SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM THICKNESS
OF 6 MILS AND SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
STATE STANDARD SPECIFICATION SECTION 9-14.5.

RENTON PLAN REVIEW SECTION AND THE APPLICANT.
3. ALL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITHTHE RENTON MUNICIPAL CODE (RMC), THE LATEST EDITION OF THE
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD, BRIDGE AND MUNICIPALCONSTRUCTION PREPARED BY WSDOT AND THE AMERICAN PUBLICWORKS ASSOCIATION (APWA), AS AMENDED BY THE CITY OFRENTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. IT SHALL BE THE SOLE

BE POSITIONED A MAXIMUM OF 50 FEET FROM ANY LOCATION
WITHIN THE VAULT; ADDITIONAL ACCESS POINTS MAY BE
REQUIRED ON LARGE VAULTS. IF MORE THAN ONE "V" IS PROVIDED
IN THE VAULT FLOOR, ACCESS TO EACH "V" MUST BE PROVIDED.
2. FOR VAULTS WITH GREATER THAN 1250 SQUARE FEET OF FLOOR
AREA, A 5' BY 10' REMOVABLE, LOCKING PANEL SHALL BE
PROVIDED. ALTERNATIVELY, A SEPARATE ACCESS VAULT MAY BE
PROVIDED AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 5.3.3.A (P. 5-37).
3. FOR VAULTS UNDER ROADWAYS, THE REMOVABLE PANEL MUST BE
LOCATED OUTSIDE THE TRAVEL LANES. ALTERNATIVELY, MULTIPLE

NEED NOT EXCEED 24 INCHES IN DIAMETER.
5. VAULTS WITH WIDTHS 10 FEET OR LESS MUST HAVE REMOVABLE
LIDS.
6. THE MAXIMUM DEPTH FROM FINISHED GRADE TO THE VAULT
INVERT SHALL BE 20 FEET.
7. INTERNAL STRUCTURAL WALLS OF LARGE VAULTS SHALL BE
PROVIDED WITH OPENINGS SUFFICIENT FOR MAINTENANCE
ACCESS BETWEEN CELLS. THE OPENINGS SHALL BE SIZED AND
SITUATED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THE MAINTENANCE "V" IN THE
VAULT FLOOR.
8. THE MINIMUM INTERNAL HEIGHT SHALL BE 7 FEET FROM THE
HIGHEST POINT OF THE VAULT FLOOR (NOT SUMP), AND THE
MINIMUM WIDTH SHALL BE 4 FEET.
EXCEPTIONS:• CONCRETE VAULTS MAY BE A MINIMUM 3 FEET IN HEIGHT ANDWIDTH IF USED AS TANKS WITH ACCESS MANHOLES AT EACHEND, AND IF THE WIDTH IS NO LARGER THAN THE HEIGHT.

A SET OF APPROVED PLANS SHALL BE KEPT ON SITE AT ALLTIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION.
2. THE HOURS OF WORK IN THE STREET RIGHT OF WAY SHALL BE
PER CITY SPECIFICATIONS ON WEEKDAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE
APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE PLANNING/BUILDING/PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT. AN APPROVED TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN
MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO BEGINNING ANY WORK WITHIN
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.
3. ALL LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN AREAPPROXIMATE AND IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR’SRESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY THE TRUE AND CORRECT LOCATIONSO AS TO AVOID DAMAGE OR DISTURBANCE.
4. A PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE AND A 24 HOUR NOTICE

10. BACKFILL SHALL BE PLACED EQUALLY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE
PIPE IN LAYERS WITH A LOOSE AVERAGE DEPTH OF 6 INCHES,
MAXIMUM DEPTH OF 8 INCHES, THOROUGHLY TAMPING EACH
LAYER TO 95 PERCENT OF MAXIMUM DENSITY. THESECOMPACTED LAYERS MUST EXTEND FOR ONE PIPE DIAMETER ONEACH SIDE OF THE PIPE OR TO THE SIDE OF THE TRENCH.MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THE FILL OVER PIPE SHALL BE THESAME AS DESCRIBED.
11. OPEN CUT ROAD CROSSINGS FOR UTILITY TRENCHES ON
EXISTING TRAVELED ROADWAY SHALL BE BACKFILLED WITH
CRUSHED ROCK AND MECHANICALLY COMPACTED UNLESS
