From:YVONNE AND GARY PIPKIN To:Margarette Bravo; Paul Hintz; Chip Vincent Subject:Amendment CPA #23-M-01: Comments for 6/7/2023 Meeting Date:Tuesday, June 6, 2023 8:13:23 PM Renton's Planning Commission, Kennydale residents are depending on the City to do due diligence. Please analyze Amendment CPA #23-M-01and dispel any misunderstandings by considering how it will affect the Kennydale area. To date, the Planning Department has downplayed the importance of this Amendment byasserting that Renton won't be much affected. Kennydale will be considerably impacted, whereas Renton may not be impacted much at all. The Amendment contradicts Renton City Council Resolution 2708, which is about protecting Kennydale neighborhoods from deterioration due to traffic-density matters. Our specific concern is about the elementary school students who walk to Kennydale Elementary School, the churchgoers, and the people who frequent the neighborhood coffee shop and the 7- Eleven convenience store on N. 30th. We feel it is in the best interest to preserve the home town feel of Kennydale and request that Amendment CPA#23-M-01 be revoked. Sincerely, Yvonne & Gary Pipkin 1120 N. 38th St. Renton, WA 98056
