Questions and Answers
1. Question: Can you confirm that the additional anti-graffiti coating to be applied to the poles
specified in the specs 6-07.2(1) is required? Have been informed that for Phase 1 of the project,
it was not needed and was rejected.
Answer: The anti-graffiti coating is not required for poles. This revision is reflected in
Addendum #2.
2. Question: Property Insurance w/100% Replacement Cost noted on (pdf) page number 63 of the
Bid Package – Volume 1. Which specific property coverage they are requesting? Is it builder’s
risk?
Answer: Bidders are encouraged to read the entire bid package fully and carefully.
For the City’s specific requirements, builder’s risk insurance is not required (see (pdf) page
number 9 of the Bid Package – Volume 1, Section 14.d for City requirements reference to Special
Provisions Section 1-07.18/Insurance starting on (pdf) page number 165).
For the County’s specific requirements, reference the King County’s Supplementary
Construction Conditions – Volume I, Chapter VI, page 14/Insurance Requirements – General
starting on (pdf) page number 63.
