provided in this field report are preliminary until reviewed by the ESNW project manager. ESNW rep was onsite to observe side sewer backfill and observe berm removal in vault excavation.
Side Sewer Backfill Observations While onsite, ESNW rep observed backfilling of 8 foot side sewers in alley 2. ESNW rep observed the side sewers to be bedded in pea gravel and backfilled
with native brown sandy silt with gravel. A hoe pack was used to compact the soil with good effort in approximately 12 inch lifts. ESNW rep took compaction tests and observed adequate
compaction of at least 95% of the proctor at the specific tested locations. Please see map and table below. Berm Removal Observation ESNW rep was onsite to observe the removal of the
berm in the vault excavation. ESNW recommends that the contractor remove the top half of the berm initially, so an ESNW rep can obtain inclinometer readings. Once inclinometer readings
indicate stability, the bottom half can be removed as well. Please see image below. Test Number Test Location Elevation Reference Proctor Maximum Dry Density (pcf) Test Moisture (%)

Jobsite safety, including compliance with all applicable state or federal regulations, is the sole responsibility of the contractor. The observations, recommendations, and conclusions
provided in this field report are preliminary until reviewed by the ESNW project manager. ESNW rep was onsite to observe vault excavation. Vault Excavation ESNW rep observed the contractor
excavating the northwest corner of the site, for proposed stormwater vault. Rep observed the contractor had excavated into native brown inter bedded sand with gravel, and silt as-depth.
ESNW rep observed the eastern and southern edges of the excavation to have an exposed height of approximately 20 feet cut to a temporary 1H:1V slope inclination. The west side of the
excavation was observed to have exposed overall heights ranging between approximately 7 to 10 feet (or less). The north portion of the excavation was observed to have exposed overall
heights ranging between approximately 10 feet at the west and 20 feet to the east (see photo attached). Tension cracking was identified above the East/SE portion of the excavation.
ESNW recommended the contractor place a soil berm at the base of the excavation on the SE corner. Berm has since been cut down to half the height. Contractor expressed plans to begin
removing the rest of the berm and begin grading for the vault next week. It is the responsibility of the contractor to adhere to all state and federal safe regulations. ESNW rep will
return on next week to observe soil berm removal. Report ID 4658.05 E 2023 0707 Page 2 of 3 Earth Solutions NW, LLC Report ID 4658.05 E 2023 0707 Page 3 of 3 Earth Solutions NW, LLC
