Boeing Site Security Fencing & Landscaping project
Main parking lot areas -737 Logan avenue north Renton WA 98055
10-12 parking lot- 800 N 6th street Renton WA 98057
10-18 parking lot- 635 Park avenue Renton WA 98057
Adjacent to the shoreline of the Lake Washington.
Located on Boeing Renton Plant site.
Administrative Variance is the land use permit for the proposed project.
A Building permit will be applied for by Boeing.
Zoning designation is Urban Center north 2.
Boeing Commercial Airplane Plant in Renton is adjacent to the Renton
Airport.
The Cedar River & Lake Washington are special site features.
Sandy silt loam is the soil type. All work is outside 200 ft. of the ordinary
high-water mark of Lake Washington and Cedar river bodies.
The north area of the Cedar River and Lake Washington has abundant
variety of fish and wildlife.
New trees and vegetation will be planted with a total of 6 each new trees and
101 each misc shrubs.

Views will be modified by the fencing of the proposed project. Boeing will
install decorative fencing for ascetically pleasing look.
The project has both pervious and impervious surface
Total Proposed 8’ Fence: 5,385 LF
Total Disturbed Impervious Area: 4,031 SF OR 0.092 ACRE
Cost is $706,000
Scope of Work
The project includes removal of existing temporary and permanent fence.
And installation of new 8ft high decorative fence around Boeing exterior
parking along the Public Right of Way. Disturbed area of existing
landscaping will be replaced in kind, and new additional landscaping will be
installed where required by City of Renton municipal code.
The new fencing will provide stricter security controls to protect Boeing
employees.
