Chris – See attached – you can see enough to see that there is a cutout wheelchair ramp on both the NW corner, as well as the SW corner of 12th and Duvall. There is a stop sign, but
with the added school walking traffic – we are not comfortable with a stop sign being enough for safety. If it is easiest to allow our crews to change/add this in prior to school opening,
we are happy to help out. I do think there will be many parents and staff wondering why it was not included in either project when school opens, so may as well get it done now.
If this is acceptable, send us the specs and we will see about getting it taken care of.

Hi michael, is there a wheelchair ramp on the southwest corner of Northeast 12th and Duvall? I thought that was included in the plans. The EB approach on 12th has a stop sign so a marked
crosswalk is not needed. However, I don't object to having one installed by the school district because it could be considered on a safe school route. Thanks, Chris

Hi Traci,
Just want to be clear is that your are asking about a crosswalk crossing 12th along the west side of Duvall? Looking through the plans you are correct that this does not appear to have
been called out. I also believe that this wasn’t included in the Duvall project because at the time of the Duvall project the school frontage improvements were up in the air.
I cc’ing Flora and Chris on this email to weigh their input. There are specific requirements for having crosswalks but off the top of my head, this is likely a good candidate, especially
considering that the Hawk signal funnels pedestrians in this direction and there will definitely be more pedestrians using this route.

Hi Michael,
In walking the site last week with Hilltop Principal, and preparing to document our transportation management plan, we noticed there is no cross walk at the intersection – west of Duvall
and across 12th street.
This was not something that was called out as a requirement for our project, and I was wondering if maybe it was part of the Duvall project, but just hadn’t been completed yet. We will
need to identify walkers coming from the east side of Duvall and crossing over Duvall, to also cross 12th walking south to get to the school – and a cross walk seems like it should
be there.
Can you check in with your team and see if this has been discussed at all? What are your thoughts?
