Subject: Renton Village - PSE Gas Relocation NEEDS REVISIONS
Hi Gary,
I just saw the Renton Village 2" MPE iP Main replacement Plans that PSE submitted for a utility permit.
The gas line relocation goes too far to the west, and needed to be corrected.
See my attached 11x17 PDF
The gas line relocation is only needed from sta.15+60 to sta. 13+65.
At sta 13+65 the new gas line should be able to connect to the existing gas main, which continues down
the street next to the south curb. The existing gas main should not conflict with the new box culvert west
of sta.13+65.
Be sure to protect the street trees along the south side of the sidewalk from damage.
- The PSE plans relocate the gas main to the south, farther onto the third private property owner's parcel
(Triton Towers) That owner did not want to give an easement to relocate the private utilites farther south
because the utilities do not serve his building.
- The proposed relocation will destroy the planting strip and trees in that area. negating why the City
revised the location of the box culvert to avoid doing that.
- We just found 4 Qwest conduits along the south property line.
They may conflict with relocating the gas line west of sta.13+65.
Please check my 11x17 plan and let me know if there is any reason the gas main can not be relocated as
I indicated.
