All sediment and other materials in the existing 60-inch x 42-inch CSMP culvert shall_ be removed and disposed of prior to making connection to the new interceptor system. 2. Manhole 1 shall be furnished with a cast -in -place concrete base to permit maintenance of flow in the existing 42-inch 0 concrete drain until time of connection to the new interceptor system. 3. Manholes 4G, 6B, and 6C may be furnished with either cast - in -place or pre -cast bases. 4. Over excavation belownormalfoundation (bottom of bedding) level and backfill with foundation and/or bedding mater- ials is required for non -pile supported pipe and structures. Refer to the specifications. 5. Manhole covers shall -be of the non -locking type. 6. Ground water levels are seasonal, maximum levels may be assumed at Elevation 25, from Station -0+19 to 1+50, and at Elevation 26 along the remainder of the alignment. Con- tractor shall take precautions to prevent flotation of pipes or manholes. Any damage caused byeflotation shall be repaired by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. 7. Prior to connection of existing drains to the new system, approval for connections shall be obtained from the Owner. 8. All manholes shall be furnished to support 11-20 loadings. 9. The debris barrier shall be as shown on the plans and in the Special Details, except that the barrier shall be fabricated to be removable (rather than secured) and equipped with pulling/lifting eyes to allow removal by I ight construction equipment (i.e., backhoe) if conditions require. 1-0.
