All work materials shall be in conformance with the standards and specifications of the City of Renton Utility Department and the latest edition of the APWA Standards and Specifications. 2. A copy of this plan must be on -site whenever construction is in progress. 3. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain street use and other related permits prior to any construction in county or state right-of-way. 4. Approximate location of existing utilities have been obtained from available records and are shown for convenience. The contractor shall be responsible for verification of locations shown and for discovery of possible additional ,utilities not shown, so as to avoid damage or disturbance. 5. Locations of the structures shown hereon are approximate. Exact locations shall be field set by the engineer. 6. Catch Basins and Grates: A. All catch basins shall be Type I-C or Type II-C - 48" per APWA Standard drawings No. 52 and 55. B. Catch basins No. 2, 4, 7, 12, 14, 16 417 shall have oil/water separators per City of Renton standards. C. All catch basins not in paved areas shall have solid, locking lids. D. All yard drains shall be Associated Sand & Gravel CB #10 with open grated lids or equal. 7. Storm Sewer Pipe: A. All storm drain pipe (8" dia. or larger) to be helical corrugated metal pipe, minimum 16 gauge, or galvanized steel. Steel pipe shall be asphalt coated (treatment 1 or better). Alternate: Storm drain pipe may be concrete, rubber gasketed ASTM C-14 Class II, non -reinforced bell and spigot (with bell flush with catch basin wall if used) unless otherwise specified on the plans. B. All 6" diameter storm drain pipe shall be non -perforated P.V.C. conforming to ASTM D-3034, SDR 35. 8. All pipe bedding shall be APWA Class "C". All trench backfill shall be compacted to minimum 90% per ASTM D1557-70. 9. All building roof drain downspouts and footing drains shall be directly connected to the main storm drainage conveyance system through an underground pipe system. The system shown hereon is a recommended solution. The contractor/landscaper may alter the system as required. 10.
