All work and service shall be performed in accordance with the plans, City of Renton Standards and Standard Specifications for Municipal, Works Construction (APWA-1981) unless noted otherwise on the plans. 2. The existing and approximate locations of underground utilities or structure shown on these plans were determined by a search of available public records. The owner and Land Planning & Management expressly disclaim any responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the information shown. The contractor shall take the necessary precautionary measure to protect the utilities or structures on the site. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to notify the owners of the utilities or structures. GRADING, PAVING, AND DRAINAGE NOTES 1 The contractor shall clear and grub all areas to be excavated and/or filled to the satisfaction of the owner. 2. The contractor shall strip the surface organic material within the drainage way to be graded only and dispose of the unsuitable material as directed by the owner. 3. Prior to the placement of structural fill for the dike, the contractor shall scarify the area to be filled to a depth of six (6) inches. The soils shall then be conditioned to the proper moisture content for compaction and compacted to at least ninety-five (95) percent of the maximum dry density as determined by ASTM compaction procedure D-1557-70. 4. The contractor shall place the structural fill material in eight (8) inch loose lifts conditioned to the pro- per moisture content for compaction and compacted to at least ninety-five (95) percent of the max- imum dry density as determined by ASTM compaction procedure D-1557-70; 5.
