GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
1. EXISTING CONDITIONS AND EQUIPMENT LOCATIONS SHOWN WERE
LOCATED FROM EXISTING INFORMATION AVAILABLE AND FIELD
MEASUREMENTS. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL
DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS PRIOR TO START OF ANY WORK.
2. DUCTILE IRON PIPE SHALL CONFORM TO ANSI A 21.51 OR
AWWA C 151 AND SHALL BE CEMENT LINED, PUSH -ON OR
MECHANICAL JOINT. THE DUCTILE IRON PIPE SHALL BE
CLASS 50. JOINTS SHALL BE RUBBER GASKETED CONFORMING
TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ANSI A 21.11 OR AWWI C. 111.
3. BACKFILL MATERIAL FOR NEW CATCH BASIN INLET AND PIPES
SHALL BE NONCLAY MATERIAL CONTAINING NO PIECES MORE
THAN 3 INCHES ACROSS, NO FROZEN LUMPS, AND NO WOOD OR
OTHER FOREIGN MATERIAL THE BOEING CONSTRUCTION
ENGINEER MAY ORDER THE CONTRACTOR TO USE LEAN CONCRETE
IN BACKFILLING AROUND THE NEW INLET AND PIPES. BOEING
WILL PAY FOR SUCH BACKFIWNG.
4. FOR CONNECTION TO EXISTING SEWER MANHOLE, THE MANHOLE
SHALL BE CORE DRILLED. A CONICAL TYPE FLEXIBLE SEAL
EQUAL TO KOR-N-SEAL SHALL BE INSTALLED.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PRESSURE TEST ALL WATER LINES IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7-11.3(11) OF THE CITY OF REIvTVN
STANDARD SUPPLEMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS.
