1. THE RECESS AT THE TOP OF THE TRAFFIC BARRIER FOR THE BOTTOM
CHANNEL OF THE HANDRAIL SHALL BE FORMED BY THE USE OF A TEM-
PLATE. THE TEMPLATE SHALL HAVE BOLT SPACING LOCATED PROPERLY
TO MATCH THE BOLT SPACING OF THE BOTTOM CHANNELS. TO FACILI-
TATE PLACE'•,ENT OF CONCRETE IN THE TRAFFIC BARRIER, CONCRETE
MAY BE POURED TO 8 INCHES BELOW THE TOP OF THE BARRIER OR TO
THE BOTTOM OF THE RECESS IF WEDGE A'JCHORS ARE USED, PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION, THE TEMPLATE. AFTER THE TEMPLATE IS IN PLACE,
THE CONCRETE SHALL BE POURED AND COMPACTED SO THAT THERE IS
NO SEPARATION BETWEEN POURS.
