ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF RENTON SPECIFICATIONS, AND THE 1988 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD, BRIDGE, AND MUNICIPAL CONSTRUCTION (WDSOT, APWA. 2. EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ON THE PLANS HAVE BEEN PLOTTED FROM THE BEST INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO THE ENGINEER. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO LOCATE ANY EXISTING UTILITIES WHICH MAY CONFLICT WITH THE CONTRACTOR'S OPERATION, WHETHER SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT. 3. THE STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO THE APPROVED PLANS WHICH ARE ON FILE IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CENTRAL RECORDS. ANY DEVIATION FROM THE APPROVED PLANS WILL REQUIRE WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE PROPER AGENCY, CURRENTLY THE CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. 4. A COPY OF THESE APPROVED PLANS MUST BE ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS. 5. PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION/DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY, THE CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DEVELOPMENT INSPECTION SELECTION MUST BE CONTACTED (PHONE NO. 235-2540) FOR A PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING. 6. ALL PIPE SHALL BE LAID ON A PROPERLY PREPARED FOUNDATION ACCORDING TO WASHINGTON STATE SPEC. 7-02.3(1). THIS SHALL INCLUDE NECESSARY LEVELING OF THE TRENCH BOTTOM OR THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION MATERIAL AS WELL AS PLACEMENT AND COMPACTION OF REQUIRED BEDDING MATERIAL TO UNIFORM GRADE SO THAT THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE PIPE WILL BE SUPPORTED ON A UNIFORMLY DENSE UNYIELDING BASE. IF THE NATIVE MATERIAL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRENCH MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR "GRAVEL BACKFILL FOR PIPE BEDDING", THE FIRST LIFT OF PIPE BEDDING MAY BE OMITTED PROVIDED THE MATERIAL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRENCH IS LOOSENED, REGRADED AND COMPACTED TO FORM A DENSE UNYIELDING BASE. 7. ALL CATCH BASIN GRATES SHALL BE DEPRESSED 0.10 FEET BELOW PAVEMENT LEVEL. 8. EXCESS WATER - SHOULD WATER BE ENCOUNTERED DURING CONSTRUCTION, IT SHALL` BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DEWATER BEFORE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES. 9. WHERE MATERIAL EXCAVATED FROM THE TRENCH IS UN.WITABLE FOR BACKFILL, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SUITABLE BACKFILL. 10. ALL TRENCH BACKFILL, STRUCTURAL FILL, AND EARTHWORK IN GENERAL SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95% OF MAXIMUM DENSITY AS TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM D-1557, EXCEPT IN PAVED AREAS WHERE BACKFILL SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95% OF MAXIMUM DENSITY UP TO 6" BELOW SUBGRADE. THE 6" BELOW SUBGRADE IN PAVED AREAS SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 954 OF MAXIMUM DENSITY AS TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM D-1557. 11. ALL PARKING AREA SUBGRADE CONSTRUCTION SHALL CONFORM TO SECTION (5-02) OF THE APWA STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS. 12. CRUSHED ROCK USED FOR BASE AND/OR TOP COARSE MATERIAL SHALL CONFORM TO SECTION (9-03.9) OF THE APWA STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS. 13.
