SANITARY SEWER NOTES
1. All sanitary sewer materials and construction shall be in accordance with the
City of Renton standard specifications and details and the APWA Standards and
Specifications (latest edition).
2. Clean -outs shall be in accordance with the City of Renton Sewer Standard Detail.
3. All PVC pipe and fittings shall meet extra strength minimum of SDR-35 of the
requirements of ASTM specifications D-3034-73 and Hiay be PVG, Z 46, er equal.

5. Minimum slope for all 6" side sewers shall be 2.01,
6. All side sewers shall be capped with a watertight plug, and shall be marked
for location with a 2"x4" stake, painted white, and marked with the word "sewer"
with depth, unless otherwise approved by the engineer.

8. All trenches shall be compacted to City of Renton standards prior to testing
sewer lines for acceptance.
9. Side sewers shall be tested for acceptance at the same time the main sewer is
tested for acceptance.
10. New connections to existing manholes or sewer lines shall be sealed off until
upstream construction is completed, tested, cleaned and accepted. All construct-
ion debris and water shall be removed prior to opening the seal.
11. The contractor shall verify the locations and dimensions of all existing util-
ities and improvements prior to construction whether shown on these plans or
not. The existence and approximate locations of these structures and utilities
were determined by searching available public documents, and the actual locat-
ion may vary from that shown. The engineer does not warrant that all existing
utilities have been shown. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to
notify the appropriate utilities involved prior to construction activities.

13. Location of side sewers shown are approximate only and may be changed as req-
uired during construction upon authorization of the engineer or City. The con-
tractor shall notify the engineer when exact locations are determined.
14. The contractor shall maintain a minimum of 10 feet separation horizontally
and 3 feet vertically between all sewer and water lines. Any conflicts shall
be reported to the City of Renton and the engineer prior to construction.
15. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to ensure that no conflicts exist
between sanitary sewer and proposed or existing storm drains prior to construction.
16. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to notify the telephone, gas,
power and cable TV companies prior to construction activities so that these
other utilities can prepare the necessary plans for the extension or reloca-
tion of their respective utilities. It shall be the contractor's responsi-
bility to coordinate these activities during construction.
17. The side sewer "stations" shown on the plans are dimensioned from the down-
stream manhole,
18. All manholes shall be in accordance with City of Renton standards, with solid
round locking lids marked "sewer".
O19. TV inspection of both existing and newly installed sewer
lines shall be made and provided to the City. It is suggested
that TV inspection of the existing sewer line be made prior
to construction.
O 20. Cut sheets and as -built drawings shall be provided to the City.
L 21. A 15' wide sewer easement as shown on the drawings shall be
provided to the City.
Q22. All restaurant effluent shall pass through a min. 750 gallon
grease trap prior to entering the sewer line.
