STORM AND GRADING NOTES
1, ALL WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF RENTON
STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
2. ALL LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ARE APPROXIMATE AND IT SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY THE EXACT LOCATION TO AVOID DAMAGE
OR DISTURBANCE.
3. ALL DISTURBED SURFACES SHALL BE SEEDED TO TOUGH HARDY GRASS UNLESS OTHER
LANDSCAPING/EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ARE EMPLOYED.
4. CATCH BASINS TO BE TYPE 1-C (APWA 1977) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
5. CATCH BASIN GRATES TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARD PLAN NO. 49 APWA 1981.
6. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO ENSURE THAT THE GRADES AND
ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THE PLAN ARE PRECISELY SET IN THE FIELD.
7. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ELEVATIONS SHOWN IN PAVED AREAS ARE TOP OF PAVING.
8. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN STREET USE AND ANY
RELATED PERMITS PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY.
9. THE STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO THE APPROVED PLANS
WHICH ARE ON FILE IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. ANY DEVIATION FROM THE
APPROVED PLANS WILL REQUIRE WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE CITY OF RENTON
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
10. A COPY OF THESE APPROVED PLANS MUST BE ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS
IN PROGRESS.
11. PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION/DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY, THE CITY OF RENTON ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT MUST BE CONTACTED FOR A PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING.
12. APPROXIMATE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES HAVF BEEN OBTAINED FROM AVAILABLE
RECORDS AND ARE SHOWN FOR CONVENIENCE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
VERIFICATION OF LOCATIONS SHOWN AND FOR DISCOVERY OF POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL
UTILITIES NOT SHOWN, SO AS TO AVOID DAMAGE OR DISTURBANCE.
13. SANITARY SEWER AND SIDE SEWER PIPE SHALL BE PVC PER ASTM D-3034, SDR 35.
