CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATIONS OF ALL UTILITIES THAT MAY BE AFFECTED BY THIS WORK AND SHALL NOTIFY APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES TO FIELD LOCATE THEIR FACILITIES BEFORE CONTRACTOR STARTS ANY EXCAVATION. ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT ( WISHA ). INSPECTION WILL BE PERFORMED BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF RENTON. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE CITY IN ADVANCE, A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS, FOR INSPECTION. ALL R/D FACILITIES WILL BE INSTALLED AND IN OPERATION PRIOR TO OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY UNLESS THAT ACTIVITY EXCEEDS THE CAPACITY AND INTENT OF THE EROSION SEDIMENTATION CONTROL FACILITIES OR UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF RENTON, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. THE SITE GRADING AND STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO PLANS WHICH ARE ON FILE IN THE CITY OF RENTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. ANY DEVIATION FROM THE APPROVED PLANS WILL REQUIRE APPROVAL BY THE CITY ENGINEER OR HIS AGENT, ALL PIPES SHALL BE LAID ON A PROPERLY PREPARED FOUNDATION ACCORDING TO WASHINGTON STATE SPEC. 7-20.3(1). THIS SHALL INCLUDE NECESSARY LEVELING OF THE TRENCH BOTTOM OR THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION MATERIAL AS WELL AS PLACEMENT AND COMPACTION OF REQUIRED BEDDING MATERIAL TO UNIFORM GRADE SO THAT THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE PIPE WILL BE SUPPORTED ON A UNIFORMLY DENSE UNYIELDING BASE. IF THE NATIVE MATERIAL MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR "GRAVEL BACKFILL FOR THE PIPE BEDDING" THE FIRST LIFT OF PIPE BEDDING MAY BE OMITTED PROVIDED THE MATERIAL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TRENCH IS LOOSENED, REGRADED AND COMPACTED TO FORM A DENSE UNYIELDING BASE. FILL MATERIAL PLACE ABOVE PIPE SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95 PERCENT DRY DENSITY. ALL DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE SEEDED AND STABILIZED TO PREVENT ONSITE EROSION AFTER THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION. ALL SEDIMENTATION/EROSION FACILITIES MUST BE IN OPERATION PRIOR TO CLEARING AND SATISFACTORILY MAINTAINED UNTIL CONSTRUCTIONS ARE COMPLETED AND POTENTIAL ONSITE EROSION HAS PASSED. �I
