Bypass must be approved by the Engineer, 2) Contractor shall take precautions while working in vicinity of the gas pipeline crossing, 3) Suggested Construction sequence: The Construction Sequence outlined below is intended to demonstrate a possible general course of action. The contractor shall review and, if desired, develop alternatives suitable to their operation, 1. Locate oil existing utilities, 2. Identify vegetation to be removed and install high visibility fencing in accordance with Special Provision 2-01. 3. Install temporary silt fence, check dom, and temporary stream bypass system at the outlet structure. Install temporary silt fence at rock buttress. 4. Excavate and install outlet structure and adjacent riprop pod. 5. Fuse HOPE pipe and install along approximate alignment. 6. Install pipe bypass system at top of project and transfer flows from existing pipe. 7. Excavate trenches for pipe, dismantling the existing rock buttress and fence as needed. The transfer of flow from the existing system to new pipe shall occur when no rain is forcost within the next 24 hours. 8. Remove the trenched section of the existing pipe, including the existing catch basin nearest to the gas pipelines. Install CDF over gas pipeline. 9. Place the HDPE pipe in the final alignment. Connect pipe to structures. 10. Bockfil► the pipe. Reconstruct the rock buttress. Remove stream and bypass system. 11. Install lateral pipe anchors. 12. Remove the remaining existing pipe and catch basin, 13. Reconstruct the chain link fence as necessary. Restore oil property at the east end of the project. Apply seed, fertilizer, and mulch to oil disturbed areas. 14, Remove temporary erosion control measures, including temporary silt fences and accumulated sediment, after vegetation has been established and accepted by the Engineer, EROSION CONTROL NOTES 1) All limits of clearing and areas of vegetation preservation as prescribed on the pion shall be clearly flogged in the field and observed during construction, 2) All required sedimentation/erosion control facilities must be constructed and in operation prior to iand clearing and/or Other construction to insure that sediment laden water does not enter the natural drainage system. All erosion and sediment facilities shall be maintained in a satisfactory condition until such time that clearing and/or construction is completed and potential for on -site erosion has passed. The implementation, maintenance, replacement and additions to erosion/sedimentation control systems shall be the responsibility of the contractor, 3) The erosion and sedimentation control systems depicted on these pion sheets ore intended to be minimum requirements to meet anticipated site conditions. As construction progresses and unexpected or seasonal conditions dictate, the contractor sholi anticipate that more erosion and sedimentation control facilities will be necessary to insure compete siltation control on the proposed site. During the course of construction, it shall be the obligation and responsibility of the contractor to address any new conditions that may be created by his activities and to provide additional facilities, over and above minimum requirements, as may be needed to protect adjacent properties and water quality of the receiving drainage system. 4) During the time period of November 1 through March 31, oil project disturbed soil areas greater than 5,000 square feet, that ore to be left unworked for more than twelve (12) hours, shall be covered by much, sodding, or plastic covering, 5) in any area which has been stripped of vegetation and where no further work is anticipated for a period of 30 days or more, oil disturbed areas must be immediately stabilized with mulching, gross planting or other approved erosion control treatment applicable to the time of year in question. Gross seeding alone will be acceptable only during the months of April through September inclusive, Hydroseeding may proceed, however, whenever it is in the interest of the contractor, but must be augmented with mulching, netting, or other treatment approved by the City of Renton, outside the specified time period. 6) Issuance of the Building or Construction Permit by the City of Renton does not relieve the contractor of the continuing legal obligation and/or liability connected with storm water disposition. Further, the City of Renton does not accept any obligation for the proper functioning and maintenance of the system provided during construction, 7) The contractor shall make every effort to remove only those trees and vegetation necessary to construct the pipeline.
