The type and grade of the dechlorination chemicals available are: SODIUM THISULFATE (non-onhydrous) Technical grade - - - 100 lb bags SODIUM SULFITE Technical grade - - - 64 and 100 lb bags SODIUM BISULFITE (anhydrous) ;U Technical grade - - - 100 lb bags and 400 lb drums 1n z APPLICATION: I. BATCH METHOD For small pipelines, dechlorination can be achieved by collecting the chlorinated water in a containment vessel and adding with continuous mixing the required amount of a dechlorination chemical stock solution (11b of dechlorinating chemical for every 100 Ibs of water). m < II. CONTINUOUS FEED METHOD For large pipelines, where containment of the chlorinated water is impractical, the continuous feed method is recommended. The flow rate for the chlorinated water will be set at a constant rate in which a constant rate of dechlorination chemical stock solution shall be fed into the flow. The amount of the chemical required will be determined from Table 1, based on the volume of water and the residual chlorine concentration in the pipeline.
