The regular meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order by Mayor Denis Law at 2:00
p.m. in the Mayor's Conference room, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. In attendance were Board
members Denis Law, King Parker, Ray Barilleaux, Bruce Phillips, and Bonnie Walton, and Finance
Department representative Jill Masunaga.
MINUTES APPROVAL
MOVED BY PHILLIPS, SECONDED BY PARKER, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE
NOVEMBER 18, 2010 MEETING. CARRIED.
CORRESPONDENCE
The Board reviewed a memo from Fire Chief Mark Peterson dated December 10, 2010, confirming that
by unanimous vote, Ray Barilleaux was elected to a two-year term of office on the Firemen Pension
Board effective from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2012.
MONTHLY STATEMENT
The financial report as of November 30, 2010, was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was
$4,311,548.90.
MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS
MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY PARKER, TO APPROVE THE PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS FOR
DECEMBER 2010, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $25,656.35, TO BE PAID FROM THE FIREMEN'S PENSION
FUND. CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
King Parker announced that he will be the City Council's Planning and Development Committee chair in
2011 and no longer the Finance Committee chair, therefore this would be his last Firemen's Pension
Board meeting. Don Persson will take Mr. Parker's place as Finance Committee chair and on the
Firemen's Pension Board in 2011.
