The regular meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order by Mayor Denis Law at 2:00
p.m. in the Mayor's Conference room, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. In attendance were Board
members Denis Law, King Parker, Ray Barilleaux, Bruce Phillips, and Bonnie Walton, and Finance
Department representative Jill Masunaga.
MINUTES APPROVAL
MOVED BY PARKER, SECONDED BY BARILLEAUX, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE
OCTOBER 21, 2010 MEETING. CARRIED.
CORRESPONDENCE
The Board reviewed a memo from Bonnie Walton to the Renton Fire Department dated November 11,
2010, requesting that an election be held to fill Boardmember Ray Barilleaux's two-year term of office
which expires December 31, 2010.
MONTHLY STATEMENT
The financial report as of October 31, 2010, was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was
$4,143,911.49.
MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS
MOVED BY PHILLIPS, SECONDED BY PARKER, TO APPROVE THE PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS FOR
NOVEMBER 2010, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $26,692.04, TO BE PAID FROM THE FIREMEN'S PENSION
FUND. CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
The death at age 83 of Firemen's Pension member John Parks was reported. Jill Masunaga stated that
Mr. Parks was single and that she spoke to his son regarding the $500 death benefit which is included in
the November payments as approved.
ADJOURNMENT
MOVED BY PARKER, SECONDED BY BARILLEAUX, THE MEETING OF THE FIREMEN'S PENSION BOARD BE
ADJOURNED. CARRIED. Time: 2:07 p.m.
