Overview:
The proposed subdivision is located within Renton School District #403 and the following are the
public schools of record for students within this subdivision:
· Kennydale Elementary School – 1700 NE 28th St, Renton, WA 98056
· McKnight Middle School – 1200 Edmonds Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056
· Hazen High School – 1101 Hoquiam Ave NE, Renton, WA 98059
A map displaying the proposed development in relation to each school is shown below.
Kennydale Elementary School is located approximately 0.85 miles northwest of the proposed
subdivision. Bus service will be provided, and the students will walk to the bus stop located at the
intersection of NE 12th St and Aberdeen Ave NE. The proposed walking path is described on page
2.
McKnight Middle School is located approximately 0.3 miles east from the proposed subdivision.
Bus service is not provided, and students will walk to school. The proposed walking path is
described on page 3.
Hazen High School is located approximately 1.8 miles east of the proposed subdivision. Bus
service will be provided, and students will walk to the bus stop located at the intersection of NE
16th St and Aberdeen Ave NE. The proposed walking path is described on page 4.

Route to Kennydale Elementary School:
Students will walk south along Aberdeen Ave NE on a gravel and asphalt shoulder for
approximately 800 feet to the bus stop located at the intersection of NE 12th St and Aberdeen Ave
NE.

Area Map – McKnight Middle School
Route to McKnight Middle School:
The walking path from the proposed development to McKnight Middle School is as follows:
Students will walk north along Aberdeen Ave NE on an asphalt and gravel shoulder for
approximately 400 feet. Students will continue east along NE 16th St where the proposed gravel
shoulder will be constructed on the south side of the road for approximately 350 feet. After
crossing the intersection between NE 16th St and Blaine Ave NE, students will continue east along
the existing asphalt and gravel shoulder for approximately 650 feet. Students will cross Dayton
Ct NE and continue east on the pavement for approximately 60 feet before the proposed curb
ramp will be connected to the existing sidewalk which leads to Edmonds Ave NE. Students will
continue south on Edmonds Ave NE for approximately 60 feet before using the existing crosswalk
to cross Edmonds Ave NE and arrive at McKnight Middle School.

Route to Hazen High School:
Students will walk north along Aberdeen Ave NE on a gravel and asphalt shoulder for
approximately 400 feet to the bus stop located at the intersection of NE 16th St and Aberdeen Ave
NE.
