HomeMy WebLinkAboutAddendum No.1 Public Works Department Addendum No.1\ Monroe Ave NE Infiltration Facility CAG-23-316 ADDENDUM No. 1 Date of Addendum Issue: September 21, 2023 Due Date for Bids: 2:00 pm on October 3, 2023 To: ALL PLAN HOLDERS AND/OR PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS The following changes, additions, and/or deletions are hereby made a part of the project bid documents for the Monroe Ave NE Infiltration Facility Project and shall have the same effect as if set forth therein. Bidders shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this Addendum No. 1 by signing the addendum and submitting with the bid. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum may result in your bid proposal being disqualified. 03 – Scope & Instructions to Bidders DELETE original Scope & Instructions to Bidders (03 Scope & Instructions to Bidders) and REPLACE with the updated attached document (03 Scope & Instructions to Bidders _Add1). Revisions to the Scope & Instructions to Bidders are indicated via track changes in the document and are included with this Addendum. Updates include the following: 1. The 4th bullet of the list of materials after the second paragraph is revised as follows: The work involved under the terms of the contract documents shall be full and complete project construction, as shown on the plans and as described in the project specifications to include but not be limited to: · Construction surveying, staking, and production of as-built plans, · Traffic control, · Installing and maintaining adequate Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control measures, · Installing approximately 38,40042,300 CY of non-infiltration material, · Installing approximately 27,100 SY of geotextile fabric, · Installing approximately 1,400 Tons of crushed surfacing top course, · Installing approximately 35,600 Tons of select borrow, · Installing approximately 84,100 Tons of infiltration gravel, · Installing approximately 10,000 SF of gravity block wall, · Installing approximately 400 Tons of hot mix asphalt, · Installing additional backfill to grade site to designed elevations, · Trench excavation, including dewatering, shoring, removal of any existing unsuitable material, and disposal of excavated material, Public Works Department Addendum No.1\ · Installing new storm system of approximately 640 linear feet of 24-inch and 36-inch diameter storm sewer pipe, including 19 catch basins, · Installing stormwater infiltration facility, · Installing stormwater flow splitter vault, infiltration chamber manifold vault, hydrodynamic separator vault, treatment vault, and · Trench backfill with suitable material and compaction to required standards, · Installing concrete curbs and gutters, rolled curbs, concrete sidewalks and driveway entrances, · Installing chain link fence and gates, · Performing landscape and property restoration. 09 – Schedule of Prices DELETE original schedule of prices (09 Schedule of Prices) and REPLACE with the updated attached document (09 Schedule of Prices _Add1). Updates include the following: 1. INCREASE quantity of bid item A8 from 38,400 Cu. Yards to 42,300 Cu. Yards. 20 – Special Provisions DELETE original special provisions (20 Special Provisions) and REPLACE with the updated attached plans (20 Special Provisions _Add1). The special provisions revisions are indicated via track changes in the document and included with this Addendum. Updates include the following: 1. The third sentace of Section 1-09.14(2)C17 of the Special Provisions in the current bid set is revised as follows: The lump sum contract price for “Stormwater Infiltration Facility” shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools, and equipment to furnish and install the Stormwater Infiltration Facility including, but not limited to, inspection ports and cover boxes; geotextiles; plastic chambers and end caps, including preparation of structural submittals; 24-inch diameter pipe stubs and pipe connections to Infiltration Chamber Manifold Vault and to manifold catch basins; 24-inch diameter manifold pipes, including bedding material system between chambers; installing and compacting embedment and backfill materials; and all incidentals necessary to completed the installation in accordance to the Plans, Special Provisions, and manufacturer’s recommendations. The third paragraph of Section 7-04.2(2) of the Special Provisions in the current bid set is revised as follows: A temporary stormwater diversion shall be capable of bypassing at least the 2-year peak flowrate of 52.5-cfs during construction. A temporary stormwater diversion may be required for the installation of the new storm sewer system with the existing storm sewer trunkline. 3. The list of materials included in Section 7-06.1 of the Special Provisions in the current bid set is revised as follows: Materials include but are not limited to: · Number of chambers Stormtech MC-7200 [MC-4500]: 896 [1430] · Number of end caps: 76 · Solid locking circular catch basin lids · Isolator Row Woven Geotextile: approx. 3530 square yards · Non-woven geotextile for Underground Drainage: approx. 7200 square yards · 24” Diam. Polypropylene manifold pipes, including bedding material CPEP Manifold System · 24” Diam. Chamber inlet CPEP pipes · Flared End Ramp: 16 3 · Various couplings, elbows, and manifold items · Inspection Ports and cover boxes: 3 each 21b – Construction Plans DELETE original plans (21b Construction Plans) and REPLACE with the updated attached plans (21b Construction Plans _Add1). The plan revisions are indicated by clouding on the sheets included with this Addendum. Updates include the following: 1. Drawing No. C401: Construction Note #8 has been revised from “CONNECT MANIFOLD DRAINAGE STRUCTURE TO INFILTRATION FACILITY CHAMBERS PER DETAIL ON SHEET C310. LENGTH OF PIPE CONNECTION (INSIDE EDGE OF DRAINAGE STRUCTURE TO INFILTRATION CHAMBER) PER TABLE ON THIS SHEET” to “INSTALL 24" DIAM. MANIFOLD PIPES BETWEEN MANIFOLD DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND INFILTRATION FACILITY CHAMBERS PER DETAIL ON SHEET C310. LENGTH OF PIPE CONNECTION (INSIDE EDGE OF DRAINAGE STRUCTURE TO INFILTRATION CHAMBER) PER TABLE ON THIS SHEET. MANIFOLD PIPES SHALL HAVE PIPE BEDDING PER COR STD PLAN 220.10.” 2. MANIFOLD PIPE CONNECTION FROM MANIFOLD VAULT TO PRIMARY ISOLATOR ROW, LENGTH PER PLAN. ” 3. Drawing No. C401: Construction Note #24 has been added: “INSTALL 24" DIAM. MANIFOLD PIPES BETWEEN ALL MANIFOLD DRAINAGE STRUCTURES. MANIFOLD PIPES SHALL HAVE PIPE BEDDING MATERIAL PER COR STD PLAN 220.10. 4. Drawing No. C401: Construction Note #24 has been added to the plan view. 5. Drawing No. C401: Construction Notes #22 in plan view have been updated to include that they are 24” SD. 6. Drawing No. C402: Construction Note #8 has been updated from “CONNECT MANIFOLD DRAINAGE STRUCTURE TO INFILTRATION FACILITY CHAMBERS PER DETAIL ON SHEET C310.
