Dear Mr. Van Gordon,
Per your communications with Skyway General Contractors, I am submitting this addendum/planting
plan for the above-referenced property to satisfy the requirements of the city so a site visit and approval
of the plantings can be obtained.
The City of Renton will require 10 native conifer trees to be planted on this site. The trees will be five
Western red cedar and five Mountain hemlock purchased by the contractor from West Coast Nursery in
Monroe which has been in business for 40 years. These trees will be planted in October 2023. They will
be a minimum of 6’ in height. Please refer to Figure 1 below for the location of each tree to be planted
and its species.
These ten trees should be tagged, ribboned or flagged so they can be located in the future and to ensure
identification by an inspector. The name of each species should be written in permanent marker on the
flags, tags or ribbons.
The trees should be planted and maintained per the instructions in the United States Department of
Agriculture Tree Owner’s Manual (Adapted to the City of Renton) available on the city’s website at Tree

Tree Planting The following pages are details from the Tree Owner's Manual for the
Northeastern and Midwestern United States, NA-FR-04=07 (civiclive.com) adapted to the City of
Renton. These instructions should be followed when planting the trees. The
irrigation/maintenance schedule should also be followed.
