BUILDING SECURITY
THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as effective July 1, 2023, is by and
between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and DWR
Security LLC DBA Pono Security (“Consultant”), a Washington Limited Liability Company
providing security services. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this
Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as
of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-22-161, dated
May 16, 2022, to provide necessary services for the Security Monitoring services (referred to
herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the time for performance, and
change the compensation in order to extend services through the contract period of December
31st, 2023
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-22-161 is amended as follows:
1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work from July 1, 2023
through December 31, 2023, as specified in Exhibit A-3, which is attached and
incorporated herein.
2.Time of Performance:Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the
schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A-3.
3.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $__35,176.48_______ from
$____214,823.52_____ not to exceed the total of $___250,000.00______, including
any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in
Exhibit A-3 which is attached and incorporated herein].
4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the

Downtown Parking Garage Security
x Location and building operating hours:
o Downtown Parking Garage (655 South 2nd Street Renton 98057)
o Parking Garage operating hours Sunday – Thursday 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Friday and Saturday 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM
x Work Schedule:
o Initial work schedule will be set through December 31, 2023 December
21,2022. This will Increase the contract amount by $56,962.44 which
includes 12 hours per day at established rates below including sales tax
for a total amount not to exceed of $115,823.52. for the first 12 weeks of
security coverage. Contract will be amended to a smaller schedule for the
remainder of the contract.
o Sunday thru Thursday 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM 18.5 hours total security
coverage. Or as needed and requested by the City.
o Friday and Saturday 5:00 AM to 1:30 AM 20.5 hours total security
coverage. Or as needed and requested by the City.
x Security needs and expectations:
o Observe and report all Illegal activity in accordance with Renton Municipal
Code 6-31. (ordinance 5598 signage for these rules is posted inside the
parking garage)
o Patrol all areas of the parking garage inside and outside.
o Ensure all unauthorized persons are not inside of the parking garage
during closed hours
o Ensure all entry ways and exits are secured outside of normal operating
hours.
o Ensure all doors and gates to secure areas inside of the parking garage
are locked and secure.
o Will remain professional and courteous during all contacts with the general
public and city personnel
o Report to the City of Renton any safety deficiency that would affect
security personnel from adequately securing the parking garage.
o Not special commissioned police officers, unarmed and not expected to
issue citations, make arrests or hold violators.
o Call 911 and report to police as needed
x Costs

o DWR Security LLC. DBA Pono Security will charge $32.00 per hour plus a
$5.00 Per day fuel surcharge.
