The meeting started at 5:04pm on February, 28 at the Renton/KCLS Library at 100 Mill Avenue South.
The meeting was opened by Dean Furr, Furr Engineering, representing the ownership group, gave a brief
description of the proposed project. A site plan was not available for the first 20 minutes, however,
11x17 copies were provided to all that attended and a 24” x 36” Color Site Plan was displayed for all
attendees.
The attendees were either from the adjacent Heritage Condominiums to the south and from the Rolling
Hills Development adjacent to the east. Jill Ding, City of Renton Planner, was also present.
Q. Are there 36 units in each of the 8 buildings?
R. No, total of 36 units.
Q. How long before construction begins?
R. Not sure, but it depends on the amount of time before permits are issued.
Jill Ding: The preplat usually takes 12 weeks but the city has said they will also review the civil permit
concurrently and complete review could take 3 months.
Q. Will there be any trees along the east property line?
R. If I recall, the landscaping plans show some screening along the east property line, but not sure
what type.
Q. What will be on top of the Detention Vault?
R. I believe the current plan is vault access (grasscrete) and landscaping.
Q. What happened to the workers (construction)?
R. They are currently working on another construction project.
Q. What will happen to the street light that was taken down?
R. I believe the street light will be replaced.
Q. What type of lighting will the project have, will there be lights shining on my property.
R. The typical lights should be down lights at garage and porch entrances. If street lights will be
installed they will not be very tall and more than likely fitted with light fixture cut-off (to prohibit
light pollution).
Q. The contractor broke the irrigation pipe in two places, but fixed it. Where is it located?
R. We will have the contractor locate the irrigation pipe you are referring to.
Q. Are the townhouses going to be owned?
R. Yes, each unit will be for sale.
Q. When will the Townhouses be for sale?
R. After the Certificate of Occupancy is given.
Q. On the east buildings where do the cars park?
R. The buildings are alley loaded, the cars enter the alley between buildings 4 and 5 and park in the
lower floor parking garage.
Q. How many parking spaces?
R. There are approximately 8-10 on street parking spaces.
Q. Aren’t there garages?
R. Yes, the lower floor of the townhouses are parking garage and pedestrian accesses are at the
main floor (upper floor).
Q. What are the number of bedrooms?
R. There will be mix of 2 and 3 bedrooms.
Q. Will you be using the our (Heritage Condominiums) fire hydrant?
R. The site has hydrants for fire service.
Q. Will fencing on the east side be installed?
R. Yes.
Q. Will the power or utilities be interrupted during construction?
R. Power and internet won’t be interrupted, but there might be an interruption to Heritage
Condominiums when the sewer main gets installed.
Q. Are the building colors final?
R. They are as shown on the color site plan.
