How often is it updated? •How can the city influence housing? Are we maximizing efforts to create affordable housing opportunities? •What defines . . .? (women/minority-owned, median income, etc.) •Can we offer incentives or workshops? (navigation of procurement process) EQUITY COMMISSION 6 AGENDA ITEM #1. a) Feedback 8/05/20XX 7 •Don’t assume and clearly define specific government terminology. •Consider what translation services may be needed when conducting outreach. •Get creative in making processes more accessible, remove barriers. •Continue utilizing most recent data when conducting analysis. •Submission of documents (business licenses, etc.) requires a lot of writing using English, this may be a deterrent.
