Collaborate with city departments and partners to implement the Civic Core
Vision and Action Plan; partnering with bold identity forming investors.Downtown
Recruit and enable revitalization and development that provides neighborhood-

Building upon the diversity of Renton to enable and attract future investment

Work with Sound Transit to develop a desirable transit center, strengthening the

Accomplishments & Ongoing Efforts
•Black River Cultural Arts Center – Downtown Parking Garage.
•Partnering with others for creative business opportunities associated with
downtown events and activities.
•Infrastructure improvements -Williams Ave. S. (200 block)and Burnett
Ave. S. (400 block) streetscape projects, fire hydrants, blank wall murals.
•Creating a clean safe downtown – Family Fresh enhanced cleaning service,
dedicated police and security team, activation of parking garage
storefronts.
•Obtained grant funds – $1.5M Pavilion and $1.485M for the public square.
•Driving progress -Pavilion Market & Food Hall,The Renton Connector,
Downtown Wayfinding, Civic Core Heart Block & Arts and Culture Master
Plan.
•Civic Core Open House held June 2023 (275 attendees).
