Guard House formerly utilized as a Boeing crew shelter from Renton Field. The Guard House is a 1-story wood structure modified by adding windows and an interior wall. Approximately 60L.F. of trenching will be required to run utilities to the Guard House. The Guard House is required to increase security on Renton Field by monitoring vehicle access. The Guard House is on Renton Airfield property leased by the Boeing Company. It is approximately 180LF west of the high water mark of the Cedar River. The Guard House is north of the 5-50 Building and east of Apron A. The zoning of the site is Heavy Industrial. The current use of the site and adjacent properties is as an aircraft manufacturing, final assembly facility and pre-flight operations consisting of many buildings and ancillary uses. No special site features. No site improvements are proposed to any sidewalks, sewers, hydrants etc. Total project cost: Relocate Guard House = $ 1,500 dollars Minimal grading and excavation required for this project. No trees or other landscaping will be removed as part of this project. No land will be dedicated to the city.
