RE: Proposal for resiued crater main on first floor only.
Dear Greg,
All calculations for mater main sizing are based an 1991 Uniform Plumbing
Code tables 10-1 and 10-2. These tables allow for sizing of tauter mains in
a building of this nature without further engineering requirements.
Static water pressure at the site of 75 lbs. allots the use of the pressure
range chart of over 60 psi, table 1042 at the 400 foot length.
Elimination of second and third floor water mains not only will result in a
monetary savings to the owner of ,2,766.00 but also free up greatly
needed apace in soffited second and third floor hallway ceilings for
sprinkler piping and other trades.
