Renton Farmers Market Now Accepting SNAP Benefits
Use Your EBT Card at the Renton Farmers Market with a new Token Program
With a new focus on increasing access to healthy foods for everyone, shoppers relying on SNAP
(Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to help feed themselves and their families can now
utilize those benefits at the Renton Farmers Market.
Simply visit the Market Manager Booth at the market and swipe your EBT (Electronic Benefits
Transfer) card to receive tokens that will be spent like cash with vendors selling eligible foods.
It’s a win-win for the Renton Farmers Market. Those in our community who rely on this program can
now purchase fresh, healthy, local foods and farmers can expect to see additional sales.
The Renton Farmers Market runs every Tuesday, June through September, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the
Piazza Park located in downtown Renton at 3rd and Burnett. Free parking is available for two-hours in
the City Center Garage with entry on Second Avenue. The market is located adjacent to the Renton
Transit Center for easy access from public transportation.
The Renton Farmers Market is presented by the City of Renton with generous assistance from Piazza
Renton volunteers.
