Special Showing of Documentary on Local Earthquake Risk
WHAT:The City of Renton Office of Emergency Management is committed to getting Renton ready for anything. From
household preparedness to region-wide coordinated exercises, Emergency Management is working to prepare
for the worst disasters Renton could face.
Join Renton Emergency Management in partnership with Meaningful Movies of Renton for a showing of the
documentary, “Cascadia: The Hidden Fire”. The film shares extraordinary seismic events and discoveries
around the world, provides an education on current earthquake risk, and explains the geology of our Cascadia
Region and what a big earthquake could look like in the future. A community discussion on seismic
preparedness in Renton will follow the film.
