Below our my preliminary comments. Have you had a chance to review? Preliminary Comments: 1. 4"Forcemain constructed of PVC or HDPE pipe with a minimum C value of 130. 2. Grinder pump selection is acceptable. 3. The 15 HP, 263 mm would be my choice in the future because it has more room for error in TDH calculations. 4. We may want CDF around the Wet Well if Gordy has concerns. 5. Provide best antenna combination to provide good communications. 6. Needs to be a CB for the Gen Set. Provide at location that meets NEC requirements and City of Renton Electrical department. Everything else looks pretty good. If you have any questions please call. The City's review comments are based on the revised lift station design plans (tel)360.676.0836 dated May 15, 2006, and an updated site and mechanical plan dated June 21 and June 15, (fax)360.676.0837 respectively. The final design plans will be approved for construction of the lift station by the City with the understanding that the approval is contingent on construction being completed by the design engineer only. Additional design details will be necessary before One Pacific Building a construction company other than Omega Contractors can be approved for constructing 621 Pack Avenue,suite 104 the Christille Ridge Lift Station. EASTERN WASHINGTON Below is a list of our preliminary comments. 300 Simon Street SE,Suite 5 General East Wenatchee,WA 98802 1. The station needs to be sized to serve all potential areas in the basin that could gravity flow to this lift station location. A cursory review indicates that. an (tell 509.886.2900 additional 80 to 100 ERUs could be sewered by this proposed lift station. (fax)509.886.2313 2. The design allows for one-hour emergency storage. Given the isolation of this site, the City would like to review the cost to increase the emergency storage capacity from one hour to two hour using the higher flows proposed above. KITSAP PENINSULA 3. Odor potential at both the lift station wet well and the discharge manhole is a 600 Kitsap Street,Suite 101 concern. Provide alternative lift station configuration that may be better suited for the head and flow conditions expected at the early stages of the development and Port Orchard,WA 98366 at full build out. (tel)360.876.7960 4. The detention time of the wastewater in a six-inch forcemain could create a foul (fax)360.876.7988 odor at the discharge manhole. May 1,2006 Page 2 Site Plan 1. Provide design information on how the lift station site will be accessed from the roadway. Need design details on driveway configuration, construction materials, drainage, slope, and relationship to road. Site shall be designed to slope all stormwater away from access hatches. The proposed driveway curb cut shall be a minimum of 30 feet wide and meet the City Standard. 2. Provide landscaping plan to meet City of Renton land development standards. 3. Provide positive drainage for all electrical hand holes to prevent water from collecting in them as per our discussions on previous projects. Structural Plan 1. The access hatches to wet well and valve vault shall be manufactured by LW Hatch or Bilco. Odor gasket shall be provided on wet well hatch. 2. Current plan sheet shows conflict with lower ladder and influent pipe. 3. Current plan sheet shows conflict with upper ladder and platform railing. A larger manhole may correct this issue. 4. Please indicated on the Plans the type of material to be used for compaction around the valve vault and wet well. 5. Please provide a metal roof with wood truss. Color to be selected by the City. Mechanical Plan 1. Provide Kor-n-Seal boot at all pipe penetrations into the wet well and valve vault to provide a watertight seal. 2. Provide a stainless steel lifting chain on each pump. Electrical Plan 1. Engine generator shall meet the City's noise ordinance for quite operation during testing and emergency operation. 2. Engine generator is located close to the proposed property line. Relocate to provide adequate room for maintenance if the site is fenced as part of this project or in the future. 3. The close proximity of the proposed floats to the pumps could cause the floats to get stuck in the open or closed position.
