The site is located along the east side of 138t" Avenue Southeast in the NW % of Section 3 of Township 23 North, Range 5 East. The existing conditions consist of heavy brush ground cover with underlying Alderwood soils. The site slopes east at approximately 2-6%. UPSTREAM TRIBUTARY AREA Approximately 0.06 acres of upstream area drains onto the site. The upstream tributary area is comprised of lawns in single family-residential lots located south and north of the site. There are no apparent drainage problems associated with these upstream flows. LEVEL 1 DRAINAGE ANALYSIS A shallow swale conveys onsite runoff east to the adjacent property. From the site's east property line, the runoff continues east approximately 300-feet (A) to a heavily vegetated drainage channel. The drainage channel flows south approximately 450-feet (B) to a 12-inch diameter inlet pipe. The drainage channel slopes at approximately 1-3% and has an approximate bottom width and depth of 6-feet and 1.5-feet. Along this drainage path, the channel crosses a gravel road in a 12-inch diameter culvert. Between the culvert and pipe inlet the channel flows along the bottom of a small ravine. From the pipe inlet, the runoff flows southeasterly approximately 15-feet (C) to a trash rack structure. Then, the runoff continues southeasterly approximately 500-feet (D) in an 18-inch diameter pipe to what appears to be a water quality\detention pond. Along this portion of the drainage course the runoff flows through two catch basins. A '/4 mile from the site is near the middle of the pond (E). The pond outlets at its south end crossing Sunsett Boulevard and discharges above Honey Creek. There are no apparent drainage problems along this downstream drainage path. The proposed storm system consists of collecting on-site runoff and conveying it to an onsite level spreader. Due to the small size of this project, it should not cause adverse problems downstream.
