CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
South 7th Street / Moses Lane
Storm System Replacement Project
November 20, 1995
Dear Resident / Property Owner:
The City of Renton Surface Water Utility will be replacing the existing stormwater pipe
and manhole on the north side of South 7th Street at the intersection of Moses Lane.
The project is being done to replace existing pipes that have corroded and are failing.
The failed storm system has caused the pavement around the storm manhole to settle
Approximately 40 feet of new 24-inch diameter pipe and a manhole will be installed.
The project is being funded by the City of Renton Surface Water Utility.
Construction is expected to BEGIN on November 29th, or shortly thereafter, and is
scheduled to be completed by December 1, 1995.
Construction will occur on the north side South 7th Street approximately 200 feet east
of the intersection of South 7th Street and Shattuck Ave South. The north most lane
of South 7th Street at that location and access to Moses Lane from South 7th Street
will be temporarily closed to traffic.
The contractor, Gary Merlino Construction Company, will notify you at least 24 hours
in advance of construction adjacent to your property. Driveways may be temporarily
blocked during working hours, but access will be restored by the end of each working
day.
If construction will conflict with utility service you will be notified and the temporary
interruption will be rectified as soon as possible. Please notify the Surface Water
Utility if you lose utility service during construction without being given prior notice.
The Surface Water Utility and the contractor will work at keeping you informed of new
developments and appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
