AN EMERGENCY OVERFLOW SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED WESTERLY IN THE N.E. 28TH ST. RIGHT-OF-WAY AND WILL DISCHARGE INTO THE EXISTING STREAM APPROXIMATELY 486 FEET WEST OF THE SITE. THIS SYSTEM IS FOR EMERGENCY OVERFLOW ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR ANY SORT OF CONTINUAL DISCHARGE INTO THE STREAM. 2. OFF-SITE ANALYSIS. THIS IS COVERED IN TIR SECTION III. 3 . RUNOFF CONTROL. NO RUNOFF IS EXPECTED TO BE RELEASED FROM THE SITE. THE INTENT OF THE INFILTRATION SYSTEM IS TO DISSIPATE ALL RUNOFF UP TO AND INCLUDING THAT GENERATED BY THE 100 YR. 24 HR. EVENT. IT IS LOCATED NORTH OF N.E. 28TH ST. AND WEST OF THE NORTHERLY EXTENSION OF ABERDEEN AVE. N.E. . THE SOUTHERLY OR UPPER PORTION OF THE PROPERTY SLOPES GENTLY TOWARD THE WEST. THE NORTHERLY PORTION IS ON A STEEP SLOPE ABOVE AN ABANDONED RAILROAD GRADE. THIS STEEP PORTION WILL BE PRESERVED IN ITS NATURAL STATE AND DESIGNATED AS A NATIVE GROWTH PROTECTION EASEMENT. THE SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE SITE WHERE DEVELOPMENT WILL OCCUR HAS SOME LARGE CONIFER TREES AND A FEW DECIDUOUS. BLACKBERRY VINES AND OTHER UNDERGROWTH UNDER THE TREES COVER THE WESTERN THIRD OF THE SITE. THERE IS ONE HOUSE IN THE CENTER AND TWO CABINS IN THE EASTERLY PORTION WITH LAWNS AND LANDSCAPING. THESE ARE TO BE REMOVED. THE PREDOMINANT SOIL ON THE SITE IS INDIANOLA, WHICH IS A CLEAN SAND RUNNING FROM FINE TO COARSE. NO WATERTABLE WAS ENCOUNTERED TO A DEPTH OF 12 FEET IN THE TEST HOLES. THE TOTAL AREA IS 2. 22 ACRES. AFTER DEVELOPMENT, THE AREA TO BE CONSIDERED AS CONTRIBUTING FLOW TO THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM IS 1 .66 ACRES WITH 0.56 ACRES BEING ON THE STEEP SLOPE AND IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO IT. THE 1.66 ACRES IS BROKEN DOWN INTO 1 .02 AC. IMPERVIOUS (CN 98) AND 0.64 AC. PERVIOUS (CN 77) . THESE FIGURES WILL BE ROUNDED OFF TO 1.0 AND 0.7 FOR ENTRY ON THE SBUH COMPUTER PROGRAM.
