Please Note Action Items Addressed At The Meeting:
GENERAL ITEM:
10. An approved Traffic Control plan will be required to work in the Public Right-of-Way to be
submitted to the City's Transportation office. Forms available 4th Floor Counter.
WATER
1. Two foot pig tail on setter required; City of Renton sets water meter. Not on drawing detail.
SANITARY SEWER:
1. Before work starts,provide calculations for Lift Station 24-hour alarm system (auto dialer for
station if pumps fail)to Dave Christensen,Wastewater Utility.
Ductile iron sewer pipe not PVC pipe is required for sewer line crossing water line.
An explosion proof Duplex Station is required which meets sewer Industrial Standards. An
Electrical Permit will be required from the Building Department(3rd Floor)to accomplish change.
Leesee will provide name for legal ownership of property for Bill of Sale for 3" forced main sewer
line.
Type 1 Catch Basin with an inverted Tee is acceptable instead of the 800-gallon oil/water separator
vault.

GENERAL ITEM:
1. Pass attendance sheet and provide copies if requested..

3. Information to complete computer input for City Permit.

4. Provide Project Description:
Car Dealership Lot, office building and car preparation service area.
5. Franchise utilities will apply of a separate permit so they need your plans to show existing
utilities.
6. Franchise utilities are to be separated a minimum of 5-ft. horizontally and 12-inches vertical
from City Utilities.
7. Notify City Inspector 24-hours before starting to work. Phone number is (277-5570).
If you are going to work in the Public Right of Way you will need to notify fire and police
before starting to work. The Inspector can help you there.
8. Work in right-of-way is weekdays, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Saturday work by approval.
No Sunday work.
9. Call for inspection by 3:00 p.m. the previous day. Overtime takes special authorization and
scheduling in advance. Inspection fee is $50.00 per hour for overtime. Provided for on
Authorization for Special Billing Form.
10. An approved Traffic Control plan is required to work in the Public Right-of-Way. There is no
cost,but submit plan to the City's Transportation office.
Traffic control and signing to be in accordance the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices. Flaggers shall have hard hats,vests, signs and certification card. Truck maneuvering
to be on site. The right-of-way to remain unobstructed when possible.
11. All utilities to be inspected prior to backfilling.

12. The contractor, as well as the Developers Engineer shall keep as-built drawings. All changes
shall be shown on as-builts. Method, cross out what was change and then show the change
made.
13. Field Changes if minor, submit a shop drawing or schematic through the inspector or Fax 277-
4428. If major, the Developer's Engineer should submit drawings and complete justification,
information and calculations as applicable to the Plan Review Project Coordinator. The City
will answer by memo or schedule a meeting Nvithin two days. The Field Inspector will not
approval changes in the field.
FRANCHISED UTILITIES:
Open for question.
FIRE PREVENTION:
1. Maintain access to site at all times. Must be able to support emergency equipment in all types
of weather.
2. All blocking must be inspected by a City inspector prior to backfill.
3. Call 911 from a local phone if the water main needs to be shut off(emergency only). All other
water mains or valves shut down,call Renton Water Department at 235-2646.
4. Fuel: Any temporary on-site fuel supplies shall have a permit from fire prevention.
5. Notify central dispatch 24 hours prior to working in the right-of-way, (Local 911),
WATER
1. Pipe materials, valves and fittings shall be as indicated in the approved plans and standard
notes.
2. All connection to existing mains shall be accomplished by the City of Renton. Schedule the
connection through the construction inspector.
3. Crushed rock backfill to grade is required in City right-of-way.
4. Final acceptance shall be after final walk through inspection, adjustment of all structures, and
approval of as-builts and cost data inventory.
SANITARY SEWER:
1. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan and standard notes.
2. Pipe bedding for PVC pipe shall be pea gravel 6" above and below the pipe.
3. Select backfill shall be compacted to at least 95%of maximum density.

STORM:
1. Good erosion control measures are to be exercised at all times.
2. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan .
3. Contractor must notify the Engineer of any vertical conflicts prior to proceeding with
construction. Submit a shop drawing for review.
4. Bedding material shall be per Standard Specifications 9-03.12(3).
5. Backfill shall be compacted to at least 95%of maximum density.
6. City wants a nice smooth grout inside the CB.
7. System is to be all flushed and cleaned.
TRANSPORTATION
1. Use select backfill for open trenches and compact to at least 95%of maximum density.
2.. Truck hauling on the Arterials are limited to 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
3. Keep a set of approved drawings on-site at all times.
4. Saw cut patching. Use 5/8 inch crush rock.
5. Uniform manual shall be followed for lane closures, routing for traffic. Developer must file
"Traffic Control Plan" with Transportation Division. Also note where flagman will be used if
any.
6. Contractor shall not leave open trenches overnight with out proper cover.
T. Restoration of Area's needs to be relatively immediate.
8. Use cold mix for temporary patching.
9. Use barricades where needed.
