The work on pedestrian facilities, shall be limited to one corner at a time, with the least possible inconvenience or delay to pedestrians. WORK TIME begins when any street or travel lane is fully or partially closed. NOTES: Total road closure lasting more than twenty-four (24) hours is subject to the approval by the City Council. Work Zone Traffic Control shall be in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and shown by a traffic control plan layout or reference to WSDOT. Approved Temporary Traffic Control Plan must be at the work site during work hours. Complete assistance and accommodation shall be provided to all kinds of pedestrian traffic when sidewalk or walkway is impeded to safely redirect pedestrians around a work zone. Signage shall be used to warn motorcyclists/bicyclists of the potential hazards on any uneven surfaced or slippery road conditions during work and non-work hours. Any vehicle, equipment, barricade, or portable tow-away sign used within the work area must display a company logo or any legally acceptable sign showing the company name, address, and telephone number at a conspicuous place on the vehicle or equipment. Non-storm customer minute interruptions saved: 3516 Non-storm customer interruptions saved: 70 Non-storm outages saved: 0.2 Project Justification: In PSE's service territory, it is projected that 60% of the outages on overhead systems are temporary in nature, such as a limbs falling through the primary line making contact along the way. Fusesavers are devices that when placed in series with fused cutouts will provide an instantaneous operation and then after a period of time reclose. If the fault is temporary then customers will see the brief drop and pick, but if permanent it will allow the fuse to blow. Construction Criteria: Use temporary jumpers around existing fuses to keep system in service and avoid the need for customer outages during the installation of the Siemens Fusesavers. Install grid number boards on PSE poles where they're missing. Install new OH switch number boards if not present. Provide Planner with preliminary and final work sketches and notify Planner when the project is scheduled, then complete. Keep Planner notified of correspondence with ROW. General -All work is to be completed per PSE Standards & Practices. Copies of all PSE Standards are available upon request. -Work sites shall be kept clear of debris and all construction materials; equipment and packing shall be removed daily. -Return all unused and removed poles, transformers and hardware to PSE, storeroom. All copper shall be coiled and returned the day it is removed from the poles. Remove all unused pins and insulators. -Return all streetlights, area lights and floodlights to Sumner yard.
