Dear Director Wise & Mr. Seth,
Raise the Wage Renton hereby submits an amended petition pursuant to RCW 35.17.280, which
provides that if the signatures supporting a petition are found to be insufficient, “the petition may be
amended in that respect within ten days of the certificate [of insufficiency].” See also RCW 35A.01.040
(“additional pages of one or more signatures may be added to the petition by filing the same with the
appropriate filing officer prior to [the] terminal date.”).
On October 24, 2023, King County Elections determined that 8,913 signatures were required, but
only 8,747 were submitted, and thus that the petition was insufficient by 166 signatures. Enclosed herein
is an amended petition containing additional signatures.
