SUBJECT:Reappointment of six members to the Human Services
Advisory Committee
There are six expiring seats (12/31/20)on the Human Services Advisory Committee.We are
recommending reappointment (with terms expiring 12/31/23)to the HSAC:Julie Dubravetz,
Adair Hasty,Catherine Dang (Youth),Leslie Anderson,Joe Scovel,and Staci VanderPol.
Julie Dubravetz is new to the board serving one year.She is an active participant on the
Human Services Advisory Committee and in the Renton community as a volunteer in youth
sports programs.
Adair Hasty has served one full term and is a strong contributor to the Human Services
Advisory Committee.She has been a professional in the Renton community for over 25
years,with a son working with the Renton Police Department.
Catherine Dang (Youth)has served a full term and continues to be an engaged and active
member of the Human Services Committee.She will graduate from Renton High School in
2021.
Leslie Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge and institutional understanding to the Human
Services Committee.She remains an integral member in excellent standing.Her
commitment to the community is an asset to the Committee,staff,and citizens of Renton.
Joe Scovel is a key contributor to the board and very aware of the norms of operation;we
are excited to have him serve on the Human Services Committee.He adds insight and
thoughtful commentary to the discussion when matters relate to Renton residents.
Staci VanderPol is an active member finishing a first term on the Human Services Committee;
she is a strong contributor and an active member in the Renton community as professional
and mom.She is aware of the needs of Renton residents and sees issues with an equity lens.
