BMP: RESTRICTED FOOTPRINT
Your property contains an on-site BMP (best management practice)known as "rest�ictedfootprint,"
tkie practice of restricting the amount o fimpervious surface that may be aciclecl to a property so as to
minunize the stormwater runoffimpacts caused by impervious surface.
MAINTENANCE RESTRICTIONS
The total impervious surface an your property may not exceed 3210 S.F. square feet without i
written approval from the City o f Renton or tl�rough a firture development permit from the City o f
Renton.
RECORDING REQUIREMENT

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SOIL AMENDMENT
Your property contains an on-site BMP (best management practice) called "soil amendmen�"which
was installed to mitigate tkie stormwater quantity and quality impacts of some or all oftkie pervious
surfaces an your property.
Soil amcndmcnt is a mcthod ofregaining g reatcr stormwatcr functions in thc post dcvclopmcnt
landscape by increasing treatment ofpollutan�s and sedimen�s, and minimizing the need for some
landscaping chemicals. To be successful, tkie soil condition must be able to soak water into tkie ground
for a reasonable number ofyears. This on-site BMP shall be maintained per Append�A oftkie City of
Renton's Surface Water Design Manual.
MAINTENANCE RESTRICTIONS
The size,placement, and composition ofthese devices as depicted by tlie site plan and design details
must be maintained and may not be changed without written approval from the City ofRenton or
tl�rough a future development permit from the City o f Renton.
INSPECTION FREQUENCYAND MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
To be successful,the soil inust be able to soak water into the g round for a reasonable number ofyears.
• Return leaf fall and shredded woody materials from the landscape to the site when possible in
order to replenish soil nutrients and structure.
• On turf areas, "g r asscycle" (mulch-mow or lea�e the clippings)to build turf health.
• Maintain 2 to 3 inches ofmulch over bare areas in landscape beds.
• Re-seed bare turf areas until the vegetation fully covers the g r ound surface.
• Avoid using pesticides (bug and weed killers)which damage the soil.
• Where fertilization is needed(mainly turf and annual flower beds), a moderate fertilization
program should be used which relies on compost,natural fertilizers, or slow-release synthetic
balanced fertilizers.
