EE90619 CASE# 24-6631 OF COLLISION 06/23/24 02:26 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE 24-6631 On 06/23/2024 at approximately 0228 hours I was dispatched to an unknown injury accident at 401 Park Ave N, in the City of Renton, King County, WA. I identified Unit 1 in this collision as a 2022 Kia K5 WA/Lic: CJN3620 Vin# 5XXG34J27NG086426). The driver of Unit 1 was identified Mohamed H Finch (DOB 08/01/2008). The front seat passenger of Unit 1 was identified as Nathanael D Kidanemariam (DOB 03/09/2008) and the two rear seat passengers were identified as Abdi M Hassan (DOB 08/13/2008) and Zakariya M Abeullahi (DOB 03/17/2007). Nathanael had a minor scrape on his forehead, but all occupants of this vehicle were evaluated and cleared by the fire department. Unit 1 had significant damage to the entire front end and both sides of the vehicle. Unit 1 is totaled and was towed by Gene Meyers. Unit 1 had a combination of airbag deployment. I identified Unit 2 as a 2018 Toyota Rav-4 (WA/Lic: BMX4569 Vin# JTMJFREV4JJ255855). The driver of Unit 2 was identified as Stuart W Luke (DOB 04/03/1956) and the front seat passenger was identified as Ling L Henderson (DOB 01/20/1963). Ling had a significant cut on the top of her head and complained of head, neck, and wrist pain. Ling was transported by Tri-Med to Valley Medical Center with suspected minor injuries including a possible concussion. Stuart had no apparent injuries. Ling signed a consent to medical release form prior to being transported. Unit 2 had significant damage to the front end and passenger side of the vehicle. Unit 2 is possibly totaled and was towed by Gene Meyer towing. Unit 2 had a combination of airbag deployment. All parties in this collision had similar recollections of the collision. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Park Ave N approaching the intersection of N 4th St in the lane closest to the center. Unit 1 was traveling westbound on N 4th St approaching Park Ave N. The driver of unit 1 stated that he saw the yellow light at the aforementioned intersection and believed he had enough time to make it through the intersection. Unit 1 entered the intersection when he had a red light and collided with Unit 2 who was traveling through the intersection on a green light. The proximate cause of this collision was Unit 1 failing to obey the traffic control signal. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and a combination of airbag deployment. Mohammed, the driver of Unit 1 is under 16 years old and does not posses any sort of driver's license, or instruction permit. Mohammed was unable to provide me with any sort of identification card, but I later verified his identity through his mother. I spoke with Mohammed's mother, Khadra S Hassan-Ali (DOB 05/26/1977). Khadra has no idea that Mohammed had taken her vehicle and when I initially called her, she thought he was still at home sleeping. Both units in this collision were unable to find their insurance information but I advised both to call in if they are able to locate it. Unit 2 later called in and provided the insurance information. Pictures of both vehicles and the intersection were uploaded through Axon. I was unable to complete citations for Mohammed due to him being under 16 years old but there is probable cause that he committed the crime of No Valid Operator's License without ID.
